Korean cultural heritage Bureau has recently announced that the Palace in Seoul will be opened free for all visitors in July.

According to the South Korean cultural heritage Bureau, in order to promote the tourism industry in the context of the epidemic raging MERS, all palaces, temples, pagodas in Seoul will be opened free for tourists visiting.
 
The palaces are in the list including Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung and Deoksugung Palace. In addition, there are royal necropolis of the Joseon Dynasty and the Jongmyo Shrine in the list.
 
Daily ticket often ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 won per the Palace (the equivalent of 0.9-2.6 USD).
